The herbs in our Muscle Soak Tea have traditionally been used in some of the following ways:

Calendula Flowers — beautiful flowers with powerful anti-inflammatory properties that have been proven to calm muscle spasms

Chamomile Flowers — traditionally used in a soak for relaxation and to relieve sore muscles and muscle spasms

Comfrey Leaf — traditional treatment for muscle and joint pain, bruises, pulled muscles and strains, sprains, for topical nerve pain, and swelling in muscles

Lavender — analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, soothes the nervous system, can be a mood enhancer providing a sense of peace and tranquility

Lemon Balm — nervous system relaxer with anti-inflammatory properties that can address chronic inflammation

St John’s Wort — traditionally used for supporting muscles. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and has been used topically for centuries to treat bruises, muscle pain, nerve damage, minor burns, and promote wound healing

Skullcap — useful in states of increased muscular tension such as in tension headaches, tightened shoulders, neck or lower back, palpitations, menstrual cramps, tremors, muscle spasms and leg cramps or neuralgia. It is a rich source of the minerals calcium, potassium, magnesium and zinc all important for a healthy nervous system

Uva Ursi — has antimicrobial, diuretic, antiseptic, astringent, and antibacterial properties

Willow Bark —used to decrease muscle, back, and joint pain, recurring headaches and reduce inflammation
