HOW TO MAKE YOUR TEA

Simple Instructions for a Nourishing Herbal Infusion

Making 1 Cup of Tea

Add 2 tablespoons of your favorite Wholistic Woman Tea to a tea ball or strainer. Pour 8 oz of water that has been brought to a boil—but is no longer boiling—over the herbs. Be careful! Hot water can severely burn skin.

Stir until all the herbs are wet, then cover with a plate or lid to trap the volatile oils. Steep for 20–30 minutes, then strain. Add honey or your favorite sweetener if desired. Drinking 2–4 cups daily is generally recommended.

Making 1 Quart of Tea

Add 1 oz of Wholistic Woman Tea (about ½ cup) to your favorite teapot or quart mason jar. For precision, use a kitchen scale as some blends are heavier and may need slightly less than ½ cup.

Pour water that has been brought to a boil (but not boiling) over the herbs. Be careful! Stir until all the herbs are wet, cover with a plate or lid, and steep for 20–30 minutes. Strain and add honey or your preferred sweetener. 2–4 cups daily is generally recommended.

Why This Method Works

These proportions and the longer steeping time create a true herbal infusion, which extracts more nutrients and beneficial compounds than standard tea bags steeped for a few minutes. For example, teas targeting liver support or pregnancy benefits would require several short-steeped tea bags to match the potency of a single infusion.

Tips from Tamy

Here’s a video showing how I make teas in quart mason jars. Place jars on wood, stainless steel, or standard countertops but avoid granite, which may crack the jar when filled with hot water. Trust me, I’ve filled my silverware drawer with hot herbs more than once before learning this!
