HOW TO MAKE YOUR TEA
TEAS TO DRINK:
Making 1 cup of tea? Add 2 Tablespoons of your favorite Wholistic Woman Tea to your favorite tea ball or tea strainer to 8oz of water that has come to a boil, but is no longer boiling. Be careful! The water could severely burn any skin that it comes in contact with. Stir until all the herbs are wet and cover with a plate or lid of some type to keep the volatile oils from escaping. Steep for 20-30 minutes and strain. Add honey or your favorite sweetener as desired. Most of the time drinking 2-4 cups of tea daily is recommended.

Teas made with these proportions and steeped for this extended time period of time are called an infusion. It will have more of the extracted nutrients and beneficial constituents than teas made with most tea bags and steeped only for a few minutes. If for example you bought tea for your liver or your pregnancy that came in tea bags, you’d need to use several tea bags per cup of tea you are making, and you’d need to steep it 20-30 minutes before drinking.
Here is a video showing how I regularly make teas in quart mason jars. Place the jars on a wood, stainless steel, or a standard kitchen counter top. If placed on granite the bottom of the jars may crack when boiling water is added. I have filled my silverware drawer with hot wet herbs many times before I figured this out! Tea Tips from Tamy
